Contractor terms and conditions

1. These terms

These terms apply to contractors who hold an account on Safety Partnership Hub or appear in our approved contractor directory, operated by Fire Safety & Compliance Ltd (company number 14086764), 111 Gloucester Road, Bishopston, Bristol BS7 8AT, United Kingdom.

2. Honesty and accuracy

You must be honest in everything you submit to us and to clients. All information about your business, insurance, qualifications, accreditations, experience and pricing must be true, current and complete.

Providing false, misleading or out-of-date information is a serious breach of these terms and will result in removal from the directory.

3. Competence

You must hold the skills, knowledge, experience and behaviours required for every role you quote on, and you must only quote for work you are competent and lawfully able to carry out.

You must work to the relevant standards, legislation and manufacturer requirements, and you must not subcontract work to anyone who does not meet the same standard without telling the client.

4. Evidence and review

• You must upload valid evidence of insurance, qualifications and accreditations, including expiry dates, and keep it current.
• Qualifications and accreditations are reviewed at least annually.
• We will email you when evidence is expiring or due for review. If replacement evidence is not provided, your listing may be suspended.
• We may request further information at any time, and may view, download and verify anything you upload.

5. Commission

We charge a commission of 10% of the value of every successful quote — that is, any quote accepted by a client through the service, and any work arising from an introduction made through the service.

Commission is payable whether the work continues through the service or moves to direct contact between you and the client. Commission is invoiced by us and is payable within 30 days of invoice.

You must not circumvent the service to avoid commission on introductions made through it.

6. Relationship and liability

You are an independent business. Nothing here creates employment, partnership or agency between us, and you have no authority to act on our behalf.

Fire Safety & Compliance Ltd accepts no liability for the relationships you form, the clients you engage, the contracts you enter into, or the work you carry out. Any contract for work is between you and the client.

You indemnify us against any claim, loss, cost or liability arising from your work, your statements to clients, your breach of these terms, or your breach of any law or regulation.

7. Conduct and client data

Treat clients and their staff professionally. Use client information only for the purpose of quoting and delivering the job, keep it confidential, and handle any personal data in line with data protection law.

8. Suspension and removal

We may suspend or remove your listing and account at any time, without compensation, for breach of these terms, expired or unverified evidence, poor conduct, or where we consider continued listing would put clients at risk. Commission already earned remains payable.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
